“NIOS” LLC, with a focus on manufacture of refractory products under vibrating casting method, was founded in 2003. The employees were trained at MittalSteel plant (Duisburg) in Germany. Now they are constantly in contact with “Testing and Control Center” research laboratory staff and analyze previously used refractories, which helps in understanding of impact of technological processes on performance properties of products.

The up-to-date equipment and technologies, based on the most recent achievements of German companies, allow manufacturing of slide gate plates, ladle nozzles, housing blocks, collector nozzles and other refractories in the territory of production facilities in Voronezh region. “NIOS” can also manufacture and repair all kinds of modern slide gates.

In 2003, “EuroTechMet” LLC and a Polish plant ZM “Ropczyce” S.A. launched a joint Polish and Russian refractory manufacturing company “Ropczyce-Rus” LLC.

Its main products are refractory cast items, unmoulded refractory materials and snorkels for RH-degassers of time-tested quality. Since 2011, the company has been supplying a full need in snorkels to NLMK, Lipetsk. “Ropczyce-Rus” is also manufacturing a wide range of refractory masses for lining, maintenance and repair of EAF, tundish and ladle filling. There is also a manufacturing technology of tundish receivers and dams, housing blocks, purging items and other products at “Ropczyce-Rus”.
